Croeswch y nant a pharhewch i ddiwedd y ffordd. Mae torri coed yn ddiweddar wedi agor yr ardal, ond yn anffodus nid oes llwybr i fyny'r nant. Mae'n bosibl 'sgramblo' ar draws y nant i gyrraedd y llwybr ffermwyr sy'n esgyn yn serth i'r grid gwartheg ar ben y goedwig, ond 'sgramblo' yw'r gair gweithredol ac felly bydd y rhai synhwyrol yn dychwelyd yr un ffordd ag y daethant. Ar y ffordd yn ôl gallech wneud gwyriad byr trwy giât y ffermwyr ar y chwith ychydig heibio i'r coed, at bont fach ddymunol lle gall Afon Foel fod yn drawiadol ar ôl glaw.

This is a short, doggy walk in the forest beside the road to Ffestiniog. From Carrog Terrace proceed up the hill 'till you reach the trees, and then turn down the forest road towards the stream. Cross the stream and continue to the end of the road. Recent felling has opened up the area, but unfortunately there is no path up the stream. It is possible to scramble across the stream to reach the farmers' track that ascends steeply to the cattle grid at the top of the forest, but 'scramble' is the operative word and so the sensible will return the way they have come. On the way back you could make a short diversion through the farmers' gate on the left just past the trees, to a pleasing little bridge where the Afon Foel can be impressive after rain.
